On Saturday 15 July, the 44th edition of the KBC Nacht will take place at the De Veen Stadium in Heusden-Zolder. Rani Rosius, Belgium’s fastest
The 43rd edition of the KBC Nacht did not disappoint. During a sun-drenched athletics evening in Heusden-Zolder, Tibo De Smet hit the jackpot of Belgian performances. De Smet dropped below 1’45 in the 800m and is only the fifth Belgian to do so. Ruben Verheyden nicely ducked under the European Championships limit in the 1500m. Rani Rosius and Noor Vidts also put in a good performance.
The KBC Nacht would not be possible without Belgian top athletes at the start and edition 43 was no different. The Belgian stars who set the De Veen Athletics Stadium alight on Saturday night give their reactions below.
Noor Vidts will put the finishing touches to her World Championship preparation at the KBC Nacht in Heusden-Zolder on Saturday. The 43rd KBC Nacht is also an important test for Paulien Couckuyt, Rani Rosius, Elise Vanderelst, Ismael Debjani and Jonathan Sacoor, among others, with a view to the upcoming World and/or European Championships.
A number of Belgian top athletes will appear at the start of the 43rd KBC Nacht van de Atletiek again.
The 42nd edition of the KBC Nacht in Heusden-Zolder was one to remember. In addition to the Belgian records set by Elise Vanderelst and Cynthia, it was a finger-licking evening of athletics. In the end, the moments of heavy downpours did not manage to be a spoilsport.
It was anticipated that one Belgian record would get broken at the 42nd edition of the KBC Nacht in Heusden-Zolder. In the end, two BRs were bettered during a mad evening of athletics with the hoped for record set by Elise Vanderelst and Cynthia Bolingo improving the BR for the track lap.
Elise Vanderelst will attempt to break the Belgian 1000 metres record at the 42nd edition of the KBC Nacht in Heusden-Zolder on Saturday 3rd July. This is a legendary record – the oldest Belgian record in women’s athletics – which has been held by Anne-Marie Van Nuffel since 1979.
