On Saturday 15 June, Stadium De Veen in Heusden-Zolder will once again be the epicentre of Belgian athletics. You can come and cheer on our top national athletes, including Rani Rosius, in a cosy atmosphere for the 45th edition of the KBC Nacht. Olympic Champion Jasmine Camacho-Quinn is the biggest international star. Admission is free.

This year, the KBC Nacht of Athletics falls a few weeks earlier in the year and that has everything to do with the Paris Olympics this summer.

For Belgian athletes, the KBC Nacht is the ideal meeting to hone their Olympic form. And for those who have not been selected yet, the KBC Nacht offers the ultimate chance to grab an Olympic ticket at the last minute.

Rani Rosius will be one of the absolute eye-catchers at the KBC Nacht. The Genk sprinting star will compete in the 100 metres in Heusden-Zolder. Other Belgians to look out for include Hanne Claes (400 metres hurdles), Paulien Couckuyt (400 metres), Naomi Van Den Broeck (400 metres), Camille Laus (400 metres), Tibo De Smet (800 metres), Elise Vanderelst (800 metres), Timothy Herman (javelin throw) and Julien Watrin (110 metres hurdles).

De Smet and Claes are already sure of a ticket to Paris. Naomi Van Den Broeck will also more than likely be at the Olympics, as she was the starting runner for the Belgian Cheetahs in the European Championships final of the 4×400 metres on Wednesday. The national relay team took bronze in Rome and had been sure of Olympic selection for some time.

Jasmine Camacho-Quinn is the biggest international eye-catcher in Heusden-Zolder. The Puerto Rican was crowned Olympic Champion in the 100-metre hurdles at the previous Olympics in Tokyo and will defend her Olympic title in Paris in August.

There will be an infectious Olympic vibe in the air in Heusden-Zolder on 15 June. Thanks to the cosy atmosphere at the De Veen Stadium, the KBC Nacht of Athletics is the ideal family outing. Entry to the event is free.
