The 45th KBC Night in Heusden-Zolder was a special moment for the Belgian athletes who had just returned from the European Championships in Rome.

Fans flocked to the stadium to see their heroes, including Jochem Vermeulen, Florent Mabille, Imke Vervaet, and Naomi Van den Broeck.

However, the wind caused some issues, leading to many times being invalidated. Despite this, the athletes proved they were in top form.

Marine Jehaes showed her recovery from injury with a strong performance, and in the following heat, Patrizia Van der Weken impressed. Rani Rosius fought her way to third place. The men also faced the strong wind, but Kobe Vleminckx showed resilience by finishing third, while Joshua Harttman claimed victory.

The star of the evening was undoubtedly Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, the Olympic champion from Puerto Rico, who dominated the 100m hurdles.

Naomi Van den Broeck shined in the 400m, clocking her third-fastest time ever. Florent Mabille showed he had repeated his remarkable performance from last year in the 400m.

In the 800m, Eliott Crestan ran a solid time, while Jochem Vermeulen improved his personal record.

The 1500m was dominated by the Australians, with Stewart McSweyn winning the men’s race and Sarah Billings the women’s race.

The 5000m saw more impressive performances, with Santiago Catrofe breaking his own record.

In pole vault, Elien Vekemans recovered after a tough European Championship, while Timothy Herman threw his javelin near a personal best.

Despite the challenging wind, the KBC Night was once again an evening full of spectacle and performances that will remain in memory.
